Products

Most photographers offer many more products then photos and enlargements. One product I’m going to start promoting is customized storyboards. These are essentially collages printed in large sizes and mounted. You could hang them as is or even frame them. The background can be a plain color or be textured. Here’s a sample I threw together this evening.

The End…of the Marathon Saturday Shoot!
May 29, 2008
Well technically Tyler and Jaime’s photos I posted earlier were the end of the day. But here’s just a few more photos from the last sessions I did on Saturday (sessions 5 and 6). Session #5 turned out to be a couple instead of a family. I love shooting couples and I got really excited when I figured out they wanted more of an urban feel to their photos. I’ve been looking for people that want those type of photos. Unfortunately there wasn’t “great” urban scenery where we were. But we did the best we could with what we had. Anyone who wants urban photos let me know…I’d love to go shoot more of this.
One last photo to end the series…a detail shot ( I love details)

Shelbert Family
May 25, 2008
This past weekend I had an awesome opportunity to shoot 6 or 7 mini sessions in Santa Barbara. But not only did I get shoot a ton of photos, but I got to see my cousin, his wife Jaime, and their son Foster. We always love going to see them. I have so many photos to go through and I will be posting more later. But for now here’s a few I took at the very end of the day of Tyler and Jaime, while Dave babysat Foster.
Spreading The Word
May 23, 2008
I found this on open source photo today: A photographer in Santa Barbara is looking to give back to the community. She wants to offer free shoots for deployed military personnel on an occasional basis. I think its a great idea, and one that I had kind of thought about myself since I live near a base and work with many ex-military people. So I wanted to help spread the word about Operation: I Love You. if you are a photographer and your looking for a way to give back to your community, check out the info on her blog and send her an email.
